Keep Pearland Beautiful Frequent Recycler Program Overview
The Keep Pearland Beautiful (KPB) Frequent Recycler Program is an initiative designed to encourage and reward sustainable recycling practices within the Pearland community. By promoting better recycling habits and increasing community participation, this program supports KPB’s mission to enhance and preserve the environment.
PROGRAM PARAMETERS
Registration
To join the Frequent Recycler Program, participants must:
- Be a Current KPB Member – The program is only open to active KPB members. If membership lapses after enrollment, the participant will no longer be eligible for prizes.
- Complete a Web Form – Fill out a short online registration form.
- Take a Recycling Knowledge Quiz – A short quiz is included in the registration form to help KPB staff assess the participant’s recycling knowledge.
- If necessary, KPB staff will provide guidance and correct any knowledge gaps before finalizing program enrollment.
- Receive a Program Card – Once registered, participants will receive a program card and a unique ID number to track their participation.
Participation
Program members can visit the Stella Roberts Recycling Center and log their participation. Each visit will be evaluated based on:
- Tracking: Members use their program card and ID number to log visits.
- Scoring: Recycling behavior is assessed on three key criteria:
- Sorting Behavior – Proper separation of recyclable materials.
- Material Contamination Levels – Minimizing contamination in recycling loads.
- Adherence to Good Recycling Practices – Following recommended recycling guidelines consistently.
These scores help participants monitor their progress and improve their recycling habits.
