Celebrate Arbor Day with the KPB Tree Seedling Give Away

Trees are important oxygen producers, help provide energy saving shade and the presence of trees positively impacts our psychological well-being. This year Arbor Day will be celebrated on on January 27, 2024 from 9:00AM to 1:00PM (or until supplies run out) at the Keep Pearland Beautiful(KPB) Office, 5800 Magnolia Pkwy, Pearland 75584.

Keep Pearland Beautiful will have: American Beautyberry,  American Sycamore, Pecan, Sweetgum, & Wax Myrtle. Each Pearland household will receive 2-3 gallon trees (can be two of the same or two different seedlings). A suggested donation of $10 per tree is appreciated.

Make sure to save the date and come out to celebrate Arbor Day 2024. Pearland will benefit from more trees in multiple ways. First, people are attracted to a community with beautiful landscaping that includes trees for shade. Second, in city urban spaces and your own neighborhood a thriving tree canopy is important to keeping temperatures down in the summer. Planting trees around your home increase the energy efficiency of your air conditioner in the summer months. And finally, everyone benefits psychologically from having green spaces with trees.
