I’m trying to find out more information about the catmint online, but I’m getting mixed Google results. 🙁 Does this plant need full sun or part sun? I have an area of my garden where I need a short plant (2′ tall max), but it gets part sun in the morning and then filtered light in the afternoon through the trees.

      Hi Heather,
The Walker Catmint does well in an area exposed to full sun or part-sun. It blooms more profusely in full sun. You may also want to consider the Australian Violet which blooms well in part-sun/part shade. According to Arbor Gate, it blooms in cycles spring through fall. Take a look at the white Mistflower too. Fall bloomer that likes part shade. It is a Texas native and butterflies love it. All 3 of these choices are 1-2′ in height. Hope these suggestions help you with your selection. – JoAnne

Hi Heather! KPB host a Annual Luncheon every year as are main fundraiser, incorporated with the luncheon we host a Native Plant Sale. This year due to COVID we weren’t able to plan our Luncheon as scheduled. Our Plant Sale is hosted once a year in October, you can look into our membership (https://pearlandrecycles.com/membership/) and receive updates on feature events. We will be hosting Arbor Day in January 23, 2021, we will have 3-5 gallon trees, trees will be published mid January.

Thanks! I’m debating how many plants to buy. I need to redo my entire flower bed, but I’m unsure how long the project will take me. I don’t want plants to die or go to waste before I have a chance to get the flower bed cleared. I bought several plants and herbs right after last year’s sale since I wasn’t able to go to the event. We have enjoyed those plants over the last year and I love being able to teach my kids how to garden.
